This practice is LGBTTQQII (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Intersex, Inquisitive) friendly. I also recognize that if you identify with one of these statements, it does not mean that is the reason for you seeking therapy. I will not assume what you need out of therapy. I can help you explore your sexual preference, sexual practices, relationship issues, sexual health, sexual trauma healing and general satisfaction with your sexual self.
The initial session is where we will discuss what is bringing you into therapy, the problems that are occurring in your life. I’ll take an initial brief history of your issues and concerns. During this session, I will begin the process of educating you about your concern. Sexual health education is a very large part of therapy and so is the normalization process. We often think we are the only ones with a certain issue, but more times than not, it is a very common problem. I will teach you ways to cope with this concern and ways to fix it. Depending on the issue, you can expect to attend 8-20 sessions, starting weekly.
